hello my fabulous darlings.

i know i've been on an extended hiatus for a while now, but theres been a couple of plans in the making and i just wanted to share some exciting news!

my blog's going to be moving to *drumroll* myfatpocket.com! it's one of singapore's top female portals, so it's going to be a great fit, and if you haven't dropped by yet, you definitely should.

i'll be sharing alot more there! i've been planning to venture out and be wayy more honest and myself in my blog now, so this comes at a great time. will be posting a ton more pictures of my style and outfits, and let you guys know how i diy stuff that's out on the runways or the streets of new york but totally can't afford all at once. anddd i've got a ton of beauty products and samples that i'd love to share with you guys. the good, the bad, and the omg totally don't work.

hello lovers!

oh, bother, but over the last week my internet connection was all wonky so i couldn't post! by then harajuku voting had ended and i was pretty much in a moochy mood because it's probably gone. ): also, because i made a massively huge mistake with the dates, i'd mentioned that it ended on the 8th, when actually the date had been the third. i'm not quite sure if the date was changed, but either way, it's an "oh wells".

but if you're curious, if i'd won, the prize for one of my voters would have been the Playlab goodie bag (the same one offered for the lucky voters on the site), a $20 voucher for fish and co, and a $100 voucher for both my stores which will be up by end of the month and the other one by april.

Sigh. i really wanted to go to japan! hmph.

haha can you sense my sulkiness over the whole thing. hahaa. okay over it now. in other news. new photos! b says i look like a geisha here. i was trying to go for the whole i am asian, hear me roar thing. hahhaa. i guess that kind of means i was half successful?

also i went ice skating recently! i fell down a grand total of four and a half times. half because i kind of fell but saved it haha. so that was at first but i got the hang of it soon after.

i saw a little girl doing the most amazing twirls and thought damnit, should have picked ice skating instead of music! (if you're curious, i play the piano, the violin, amateur snare drums, really really basic guitar and technically cheating but i'll throw in the keyboard. haha.) okay fine i was being a ninny, but while falling on my arse i was so impressed, she looked about only six years old.

i heart 3d glasses! why can't i take them homeeee. :(

i caught avatar the first day it came out because i was so crazy excited, and it didn't disappoint. and then i heard all this talk about how avatar in 3d was way more awesome and i just had to catch it again haha. so n and i went today and it was! especially the ash scene, and the seeds of the tree scene, those were the best in 3d, i loved watching them float around me, haha.

i don't usually catch movies twice in theatres, in fact i've only ever done it once (night at the museum two) and only because i'd watched it already but my brother wanted to catch it too , but this was a genuine OMG I WANT TO WATCH IT AGAIN THING, and n had watched it already as well, but there we were, two crazy psychos, going

"I SEEEE YOOOOO"

AND

"YOO ARE LIKKKAAA CHHHHILLDDDD"

non stop before the movie, during the movie, and after the movie. along with other assorted phrases from the movie. god knows how annoying we were to anyone within a two metre vicinity, haha.

anyways, random point, but n has awful photo taking skills. i had to crop myself in the above one, and here is an actual demonstration of bad skillzzz:

omy.sg interview // harajuku street style pop-up store

hello lovers!

i was recently interviewed for omy.sg for their feature on the tangs harajuku street style pop-up store!

basically me and another male model got to head to the store early in the wee hours of the morning before opening and play dress up with the awesome clothes from the newly added harajuku section, which some of you might have heard of. i went to the launch as well!

it's in chinese, which isn't my forte, but there's a little button for listening to the article as well, though to be honest it's pretty robotic and quite hilarious, reminds me of my electronic chinese dictionary my mom got me during primary school. nonetheless, it's a nice touch.

hello lovers!

yes, my hair is officially back to black. i've never actually tried jet black before, my hair's usually varying shades of brown, but here it is, black as ink. hahahha. like/hate it? im tempted to do a poll, but i'm currently multitasking like crazy, so it'll have to hold a while.

anyways updating, ____ is now s, haha. who says my scarf here is ultra tacky. i minorly agree but isn't it so cute like 101 dalmations! haha. stubborn but i still love it. and soupspoon.

yesterday i had half my face painted black

went for a photoshoot yesterday for some creative makeup (i swear, the two of them are geniuses) and i had half my face painted black.

isn't it crazy interesting. haha. i'm excited for the photos. poor aylwin's camera died though, so he helped out to paint my face black too. job change from photographer to face painter. haha. and wrote the chinese character "ren3" on it, it was such a joke. lalala.

i'm in school on my laptop now, so i don't have all my photos. okay, back to class now. sigh sigh sigh.

oh but am so happy for later! meeting k and e for dinner and girl talk, and then _____'s going to come over and find me later ♥. i like to ask people if they're okay with being on my blog and stuff, and i haven't asked him yet, so im going to be all mysterious and shizz now. unless you guys bribe me, and then i might consider. i like supermarket sushi, cedele, and moisturizer. haha.

updates soon, it's one am and i'm pretty much beat, just got back from the airport, but i will post my new port photo because i promised to do my regular updates. which i hope i'm doing pretty well? i'm always grateful to you guys for reading despite my hiatus for the longest time, the stats are pretty much consistent and it really helps to know that there are people checking up on me (for the right reasons, i hope :D) even when i'm not posting, because it's been pretty rough lately, and i haven't felt more alone.

still, what with everything, there are so many more things to do, and so little time. but i'm really excited, everything's falling into place so far. so, hooray :D

that said, here's the new picture:

i'm really honoured to have been able to shoot with G, he's a photographer based in Dallas that flew here for a couple of days, and it was a hilarious shoot. seriously killer strange. you'll know when i show you the pictures. i haven't gotten everything yet, but i'll show you when i do :)

if you hang in there, i've got awesome greenday updates to post soon. i'm not usually a concert kid, but i accompanied b and long story short, we were first in line. YES, FIRST. and right in front. who's curious how long we queued? haha.

also met some awesome people at the show! really we probably wouldn't have survived through it without them, and we had to head back and dump our stuff and everything. <3but but but, even more awesome, billie joe wore our headband! for the uninitiated, he's the lead singer of greenday, and if you see shots of him in a giant red and white bow, YES, THAT'S THE ONE. in return, he gave the police cap he toured with so far on the show. KILLER MAD AWESOME. aren't you excited? photos soon, i've got to tidy up and figure out all my camera files first. entire card's full, boo. if you're thinking "it's just a cap, lah", that is true. but different things hold different meanings to everyone, you know what i mean?

anyways, i caved in and went and uploaded a preview of our madness. this is how big the bow is. haha. and the arm thing is made out of duct tape because i was dead bored whilst queueing. and b really does have green hair. haha. also, yes, this is my back to brown hair.

Hello lovers!

I know I haven't updated a while, but it's been a whirlwind since the last time i posted. Everything has changed in my life, and it feels almost like I'm starting over, but to be honest, i've never felt better. So many opportunities have come around that I might be just heading towards a really good place, and i'm actually feeling (dare i say it) happy. haha. so happy 2010 everyone! wish me luck, and i hope yours is starting off well too. Otherwise, really, it can only get better. trust me, i just came out from rock bottom. :)

In other news, I'm no longer blonde! well, for now at least. haha if you'd like to say hi tomorrow, i'll be walking for two shows at the giant white tent outside taka, where they're holding Hairlah! "Singapore's biggest hair event" (yes, so singaporean i know, haha).

omg i am the worst i know. just that with everything happening all at once, being busy either a) casting, b) working, or c) waiting for my effing hair to dry because now that it's blonde it takes like sixty gadzillion yearszzzz.

oh, right, i finally went blonde. hahahaha.
i know, instant thoughts of ah lian-ness. i'm too lazy to document the process, but it's been a crazy, psychotic ride, i just didn't know how to post it up without having gone through the last three weeks of blonde madness to really determine how i feel about it.

prepping for hoyu hair show!

doing a hairshow for hoyu on wednesday, so did my prep today. uploaded halfway to photobucket then somehow the page hung and server crashed, so it's all gone! -wails. why do things like that always happen to me, gah. i have crazy hair colour now, though. im going to attempt to upload it and then play one level of cockadoodle inc and if it's not done by then im going to bed, haha.

x love and i went to a|x a while back and i bought an awesome duffel like finally!

i love sales. i wanted to get the one with the gloss monograms, but then x said there were no long straps, which made sense since it was for holidays anyways. so i got this one! and so did x. which is very unlike us but i convinced him it would complete his life as it would complete mine. haha. brought it on the singtel bintan trip! :)

anyways.

i broke all public transport records today! determined not to waste my money on cabs anymore because it's like three hundred plus a month wasted! and i want to revamp my room = new furniture! which i have to proudly sponsor myself. so. i took a grand total of 8 bus rides and 5 train rides today! feels like i've been travelling non stop, sheesh. went for hoyu prep, then audition, then casting, then home, then ikea, then novena, then home.

and im still awake!

found my perfect wardrobe today at ikea, (yes, i love ikea, despite its mass-produced consumerism and shameless marketing ploys for the budget friendly) haha. it's got three doors and midget-friendly. i.e. i don't have to tiptoe to hang my clothes like for my wardrobe now, because yes, i am short as everyone knows. haha.

but but but. i didn't get it in the end because they can't deliver by tomorrow, which is the only day i'm free to assemble it cause am so busy with shows non-stop. i don't know when i'm free next and they can only hold it for five days max for free anyways so i don't mind going again, i love it and the freaking swedish meatballs so much. any excuse to eat it right. so yes, conclusion, i am a cheapo, a greedy pig, and i secretly like to assemble furniture, which is why i love buying ikea furniture, haha. it makes me feel all superhuman and then i have bragging rights to say i built my own wardrobe, okay.

but working on a couple of other events now, just finished the media corp festival tonight.

exhausted! haven't had a moment of rest in quite a while.

omg how. i am so depressed. anyways, postponing my party to september because

a) a good wait is always worth it
b) i admit, i'm way too busy with carlsberg performances to do so! :((((

updates on my schedule (yes i know i've been awful with blogging, i'm making up for it! :) )

1) i'm doing my hair tomorrow! if you still don't know why my hair is SO LONG, and no, it's all real and not extensions, and put it up to me being vain (which of course, is true, haha) it's actually because i had the worst, WORST experience ever three years ago when i decided to chop my hair short. what was meant to be a chic look ended up as a serious japanese boy's look which obviously will look crazy. so i never cut my hair again except once during a work related event, and my attempt at bangs a couple of months back. SO LOOK OUT FOR NEW HAIR PICTURES! it'll probably look the same, but hello it's groundshaking news! haha. until now i'm like freaking tarzan.

2) one of my best, best, best friends ever came back! b is the shizz. here i am sounding like a rap icon. only for two days in transit before she heads back for her honours year, but it was the most awesome two days, planning our ridiculous but still feasible within the realms of our possibility-minds. love you if you're reading this!

3) i worked at the butters chivas regal event last week at butters! if you were ambushed by a demonic looking person wearing a hilariously cute cat mask with offers of whether you wanted masks, that was me. official pictures here, pictures from my own cam later. worked with darling corde!

Okay, so let's see what I did today. I woke up late, watched some youtube, and oh, yeah, appeared on tv. hahah this is so hilarious. if you caught singtel grid girls on channel five today, yes, that jessebella was me. (seriously, how many can there be) and i look HIDEOUS, OMG, WTF.

okay but it's true. nevertheless, because i am such a nice, sweet, person, i shall upload my gory hideousness on youtube and embarrass myself to the world by letting you watch. yes, i know, i have no shame for my uglyness. gahhhhhhh. here you go.

see, it actually is true when they tell you that the camera puts on ten pounds. in my case, to be specific, it put on twenty.

a) can you see how fat my face is omggg. granted, i have a widescreen telly. but STILL.
b) omggg how short do i look. okay blame the widescreen again, but STILL.
c) i sound awful! you can't blame the widescreen for that.
d) i look hideous i think i need facial reconstruction.

okay to be honest i just need veneers. anyone with too much money to spend? lolll. as if i wish. le sigh. the singtel and mediacorp people did a fantastic job with the site and the photos and the show, just that it seems during the filming and stuff ive been goin through a violently ugly phase. sighhhhh.

SO WEIRD. imagine if a kid came up to you and asked for your number. shudders.

so lesson of the day: never ask your kid brother/sister/friend to help you get a guy/girl's number. no matter how cute they might be, or how adorable you think the other person will think of you. because the person might be as nehneh as i am, and assume you're a kid as well. hahahaha. okay don't know what kind of lesson that is, and im really the last person on earth to be giving life lessons, but it's a valid lesson, okay! hahaha.

sorry i haven't updated, ive just spent the last few days being majorly pissed off. i hate people who think they have the right to take advantage, and the asshole who just takes me for granted. i am just SO sick of it, im sick of empty promises,of people who sell out, of fearing that i will, of worrying, of being so empty and yet full of ennui.

basically i just needed some space, and i haven't gotten it, and i need it more than ever. i just need to head overseas and chill out for a bit.

case in point. went to fish and co yesterday for dinner. peri peri catch which was as usual amazing, but the company wasn't.

yes, i was semi fed up.

but the food was yum, and i was so hungry i finished it all up.
(yes, i eat/ate with all three cutlery)

seriously, it just spoilt the whole meal. this is why so far i've kept to fishing with only one person.

it was planned as my treat out for us, but all i got were endless insults and hidden jibes and mean comments, i'm just so tired. i don't expect gratitude and appreciation, but itd be nice if it was at least pleasant.

anyways on a brighter note, i got a package! :) from my dearest friend who means the world to me, and always will. sucks balls that she's so far away.

it's huge! i had to lean all the way back just to get this shot.

this is really one of the nicest presents i've gotten because so much effort was put into it. not to mention its epic awesomeness. kp im going to wear it all the time!

what did you do for mother's day? :)

i've been making breakfast in bed for my mom for the last nine years, although along the way it's evolved to breakfast on table (haha, cause my brother always winds up eating half and making a mess). Last couple of years its always been english breakfast with flowers and all, but this year i decided to add a cutesy touch.

after five minutes, my cheese loving brother helped himself to half the crackers and tried to discretely hide the evidence by eating "neatly". see the back half is gone!

caught startrek last night!

i originally didn't actually plan to watch it, and was surprisingly amazed by how great it was. could be because of the lack of expectations (unlike origins, which barely adhered to the comic original) , but honestly i was duly impressed by the effects and how three-dimensional the characters were. i remember being seven and catching a rerun of the show, and was bored to death.

minor spoilers in the next paragraph.

love goes to:
1. the space-time continuum. i adore time travel paradoxes, hints of the butterfly effect. some movies flunk because of so many loopholes (some nicholas cage one a couple of months back), but startrek actually covered a good amount of ground.
2. spock a.k.a. zachary quinto. i've always loved quinto, because of his range, and it's not easy to portray emotions when assuming an emotionless facade. although his character here wasn't that great a leap from heroes, kudos should still go out.

LG Arena KM900 media launch

it's been a long ass day. many, many, many pictures ahead. many cam-whore-esque pictures ahead. you've been warned. haha.

anyways. today was the LG Arena KM900 media launch! it's a new phone from lg that's super fantastic, and coming out on saturday.

reminiscent of the iphone, but much more packed on style factor. the touch screen responds easily and quickly, and doesn't need a stylus, which i liked, cause i had one of those first batch touch screens and it drove me nuts because you had to press really hard to work the keys, which are tiny anyways. every function is style packed, and the menu, homescreen, shortcuts, all have some awesome convenience function or element that will probably suit differing tastes. i loved the 3d effect most. anyways, you can check it out for yourself here, retailing in sg for sgd768.

anyways, event was held at supperclub at odeon towers! i accidentally went to supperclub at rivervalley (anyone knows what that supperclub is?) because google and streetdirectory.com told me it was there. grrr. supperclub is really pretty though. during the dry run i played with the lg arena i was meant to hold, took a few photos:

had a paper today. second last! wrote a whole load of nonsense, and had to walk an extra round cause of the swine flu epidemic fear. ended up taking my temperature four times the whole day, whilst submitting forms and having trouble with the printer. : it's just as well, though, that everyone's taking proper precautions, because if we wind up with another situation like the bird flu or hfm it'll be awful.

anyways. on happier notes! intended to study in town yesterday, but wound up dropping by tangs. i love the smell of the beauty counter area.

x bought me an early ______ present, we're still discussing for what hahaha.

omg i have so many things to catch up on. and im major exhausted. like, 7-hours-of-sleep-over-the last-three-days exhausted. re: beerfest, supper, sleep x 3 hours, 'exam', eight hour shoot (in some mosquito infested jungle place = million bites to deal with), dinner, arguments, more beer, sleep x 4 hours, casting, furniture shopping.

see my tired ass face from yesterday. i look like an aunty hahahaha. and my chunli meets grunge hair from the shoot.

audition/casting for singtel today! definitely wasn't my best shot, i was supremely frazzled and kept rattling on. never expected such a huge panel of judges (like, twenty?!) omfgwtf was i doing, basically. so nervous and stoned simultaneously. hahaha. im just crossing my fingers like madly that crazy is the new xfactor. haha.

anyways, met jeanine, then shumin, abby, bumped into fiona, coincidentally met sindy, and cheryl (i think?) this insanely tall model. major fantastic. seems like everyone's up for it this year.

anyways halfway through the thing i had a craving for ikea meatballs, so i called x and we just randomly went. so damned far away but SO worth it.

yay everything is white! i've decided that i'd like a white room. like a freaky, clinical room. the moment will probably pass in another three days, but im obsessed with the concept after watching horsemen. which, by the way, you should definitely watch if you're into psychological thrillers and studies of the human psyche. it's really intelligent, (although gory, avoid eating during the first half), and i effing loved it. directors need to make more shows like these. okay enough before i lapse into potential spoilers.

i did an interview in chinese today. omg. everyone who knows me knows my chinese is beyond hope, absolutely jiat kantang, and i kept dumping in english words and asking the interviewer for translations.

UNFORTUNATELY. apparently it went on the prime time news, and they edited such that none of my (okay, half english half chinese) explanations were heard, gah, so it sounds like im a walking slut machine. im gonna go look for it. eff, i have to watch it. how bloody annoying. i hope the whoever who told me is wrong.

OMG MY WALLET GOT STOLEN YESTERDAY! :((((((

i'm quite sure i didn't drop it when i got off the bus. but still, uggggghhhhh. i got off at far east and was headed towards taka, so i took a detour through tangs and then was walking past lucky plaza where it was probably stolen. it was major crowded and i know i was really careless as well, i left the wallet right at the top and didn't zip my bag up. plus according to my mom there are some dubious people who just hang aroung there and chinatown to pickpocket.

at least, thank god, my ic, ezlink slash uob card and my manhattan card were'nt inside because one is in the photocopying machine, the other was in the pocket of my shorts i wore the day before that i forgot and threw into the laundry basket, and the other i just threw into my bag after getting entry at velvet.

here are those from #2 taken at the arts house (the old parliament), where it was bloody freezing cold. we're wearing some kind of sarong thing that's made of silk so it was EVEN COLDER. mich and i got a cold right after we got back, it was THAT cold.

mich and i! when we were still being normal. photos are all from her cam! the ones from mine are bloody blur and ugly cause my cam is spoilt and you can't see anything on the screen when you're taking. it's like effing 1947 you have to just wing it.

We were so damned tired when we got home. and full. haha mich and i couldn't stop eating, it was insane. total damage amongst the two of us: lormaikai x 4, siew mai x5, milo x2, bottled water x 2, nasi lemak x 2, bao x 1, kueh chang x ? haha i have no idea how many kueh changs the rest ate! we were supposed to be carrying them around in this basket as props but then sabrina was so hungry she secretly ate one and let us all try, and it was so nice that no one could stop eating. except me. :((( cause i only like the meat part hahahaha.

anyways its eps 7 and 8! yayyy. omg im gonna record it. its gonna be hilarious.

Went for a tv shoot for Sayang Sayang Season 2 last Thursday at the Peninsular Excelsior! It was really really gorgeous, and you'd never expect it cause it looks like a small building from the front. But the big pool is so amazing, and it has that glass partition thing like one degree fifteen! also met michelle chong and johnny su from the show! didn't get a picture with tan kheng hua though. my mom loves her haha.

HELLO.

Okay, so I'm finally starting my new and official blog about the major rants and nonsense that goes on in my life. It's been way overdue for the last six months or so, but then there's been work and school and everything else and then my internet went crash bang burn, so everything's been on hiatus.

ANYWAYS.

HELLO. proper and all. I started this because work (the modelling side) and life has been pretty awesome recently! and I think it's time to document my life and all the omgs that happen before i disintegrate into old and haggard land and expiration soon, hahahaha.

it's called jaiyeinblack because jaiye is what one of my most fantastic friends calls me, and black is what i wear. almost all the time, yes.
